Overall a pleasant simple conversation-like composition, perfect for what it's designed for.
My favorite parts are the run at 0:14 and the break at 1:41.

I just listened to a long loud dissonant sound, presented as "ambent" music, so I don't think you should be too hard on yourself. Also, the simple innocent keyboarding on this piece has its own charm.
